Rapper, songwriter Marcus "Paradise" Dawes records under the stage name Whoisparadise, formerly Paradise [the Prolific]. The British-American is best known for his pioneering role as frontman to Brixton based hip hop group, The 57th Dynasty.
As a solo artist, his writing and production credits include collaborations with artists and songwriters like Noni Zondi, Estelle, Stereo MCs, Krafty Kuts, KRS-One, Sounds of Blackness, Omar and JJC. He is a sort after philanthropic performing artist, having worked with organisations such as YMCA, Black Cultural Archives, VH1, RESEO (the European Network of Opera Education), British Black Music and MTV.
